Cookies & data collection

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files saved by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember you across pages and visits. Some are essential for the site to work; others are used for analytics or marketing.

What we use

Essential cookies (always on)

These are required for the site to function. We don’t need your permission for these.

  • Session cookies — remember your login and form state. Deleted when you close your browser.
  • CSRF tokens — protect against cross-site request forgery on forms.
  • Cookie-consent state — remembers your choice on the banner so we don’t show it every visit.

Analytics cookies (optional, off by default)

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand what content is useful. No personal data is collected; IP addresses are anonymised. You can opt out via the cookie banner.

Marketing cookies (we don’t use these)

We don’t use third-party marketing trackers (Facebook pixel, Google Ads remarketing, etc.). If that changes, we’ll ask your permission first.

Controlling cookies

You can clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. You can also opt out of analytics via the banner at the bottom of the page on your first visit. If you opt out, the site still works — we just lose visibility into which pages are useful.

Third-party services

When you make a purchase, payment is handled by Stripe, which sets its own cookies. See Stripe’s cookie policy.
